About the Project

Why use this?

NASA MAPTIS provides material and test data for a very large set of metals and non-metals, supporting materials selection for aerospace and high-reliability engineering applications. It is particularly useful when engineers need traceable property data, test information, and materials-selection context beyond generic datasheet values.

For alloy and metals work, MAPTIS is valuable during material selection, design allowables research, supplier evaluation, and aerospace or high-reliability component development. It complements CALPHAD tools and handbooks by providing curated materials and test data rather than only thermodynamic predictions. [162]
