ngspice
ngspice is the open source spice simulator for electric and electronic circuits.
An open-source SPICE circuit simulator for analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits using netlists and device models.
About the Project
Why use this?
ngspice simulates electric and electronic circuits containing transistors, diodes, passive components, transmission lines, and digital devices. Engineers define circuits as netlists and obtain currents, voltages, and other electrical quantities as graphs or data files.
It is a strong choice for analog design, discrete-circuit verification, power electronics, and IC design. ngspice is SPICE-compatible, can use PSPICE and LTspice model parameters, and can read HSPICE device libraries from semiconductor foundry PDKs. It does not include schematic capture itself, but integrates with third-party schematic front ends and KiCad. [82]
