pycalphad
pycalphad is a Python library for computational thermodynamics using the CALPHAD method.
An open-source Python library for calculating phase equilibria and thermodynamic properties of multicomponent alloy systems.
About the Project
Why use this?
pycalphad implements the CALPHAD method in Python, allowing engineers and researchers to calculate phase equilibria, phase fractions, chemical potentials, and thermodynamic properties in multicomponent alloy systems. It can read TDB thermodynamic databases and perform equilibrium calculations, property diagrams, and phase-fraction analysis.
It is a strong choice for alloy development, high-entropy alloys, steel design, additive-manufacturing alloys, and research where commercial thermodynamic packages are unavailable or too restrictive. Because it is scriptable and open source, it integrates well with optimization, machine-learning, and high-throughput alloy-screening workflows. [150]
